Dearest Ladies and
Gentlemen,
This time on 60
Minutes with your Co-Star Elder Guymon!!----
Things are going amazingly well down here in Cloudcroft, NM!! :) But I must regretfully inform that the Zombie Apocalypse has started in no other place than Alamogordo! And by that I mean my companion, Elder Barlow, has none other than the Herpes Zoster virus, commonly known as Shingles.... :/ NOOOOOOOO! and so we will be in a temporary quarantine for the next 1-2 weeks *insert horrified expression*

And so for those of
you who don't know what shingles is, it's basically an excruciating version of
the Chicken Pox virus, which attacks the nerve endings in your body and
causes these little red bumps to appear all over the skin. It is highly
contagious, but the catch is, it only affects people who have NOT had the
Chicken Pox. What makes this scary for us is that the majority of the
missionaries who are in our district have NOT had Chicken Pox, which can have
some serious repercussions if you catch it as an adult.
But not to worry about
me, I have actually had both Chicken Pox and Shingles before, and so
I am immune to that virus. :) So moral of the story you may ask? God knew what
he was doing when he inspired President Miller to assign Elder Barlow and I to
be together as companions.
I mentioned quarantine
before, what I mean by that is most likely we will not be able to do
missionary-work so long as Elder Barlow is contagious.... which means for the
next little while we will be inside, all-day, every-day! *insert Darth Vader
NOOOOOOOOO*
Hahah but that's ok!
The Lord has a reason for this and we just got to be patient and humble enough
to listen to the lesson that we can learn!
Another thing that has
been really cool though is the amount of members in our ward who have
volunteered to help us out with anything we need! The Lord has really blessed us
with people who care in our area! Miracle!
Also, Thanks so much
for your lovely letters and emails! Thank you, that always brightens our day
when we get letters from home!
Anywho, that's what's
up with us in Cloudcroft! I hope alls of yous is having a beautiful time
wherever you are at! :)
Until next time,
