Dearest
Ladies and Gentlemen!
Happy Christmas everybody! :) Man
what a wonderful time of year to be alive and kicking! There's a nice cold in
the air, and the Spirit of the Season has arrived in full-force!
Something that I notice even more
out here, is that how I feel closer to the Savior this time of year is when I
stop focusing on me and look for ways to help other people! And there is
something Miraculous when that happens! Well at least for me, I find more
meaning in being out on a mission as I refocus on helping others and striving
to do what the Savior would have me do! And I would urge all of us to do as the
Savior says in Luke 18:22 to forsake the things that pull us away from Him and
"Come follow me". For I do know that as we follow Christ and His
teachings there is a happiness there that is impossible to find elsewhere!
Anywho, this preceding Christmas
week has been very good! :) We kept plenty busy and we even found a new
family to teach! :) Their name is the Caro's and they are so prepared! We
actually had our first lesson while I was on exchanges with Elder Garn and it
was a fantastic lesson! Also at the end they accepted a baptismal invite! Wooh!
I love teaching families!
Also our ward is doing a FANTASTIC
job of fellowshipping our investigators! They have even invited one of them to
have an activity on Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day when he would have
otherwise be alone! :) :)
It's so good to see members get so
involved this time of the year! All in all, it's a great time to be a
missionary in the Albuquerque New Mexico Mission!
Merry Christmas!
