6.1--A New Transfer!!

Dearest Muchachos y Muchachas!

How is everything outside of New Mexico going? Good? Hopefully! :)

Things down here are pretty Radical as well! :) The temperature is getting HOT! And by hot  I mean 70 degrees in Alamogordo! What?

Also, all the Juniper Trees up here are starting to bloom, which is giving everybody allergies!!! NOOOOOO! ahahah! But I would rather have a stuffy nose than Negative who-knows-what temperature! :)

Hmmm other things that have happened this week.... Oh we picked up a former investigator family, The Pattersons. And they are doing soooo well! They recently attended the Temple Open-House in Gilbert, AZ and they LOVED it! Sis. Patterson said she cried both times she went through it, and she said that she wished she could just stay in there! :}  She has also read the Book of Mormon 2 times and is now reading through the D&C! She is looking for excuses TO get baptized, not NOT to be baptized! (which is what she was doing a lot of before). Note though, that I do use the word, SHE a lot in the previous sentences! Sis. Patterson is doing awesome, but her husband is still unsure about what he wants to do with the church, so we will have to make sure that we keep him in our prayers! :)

Hmmm other news, Elder Barlow isn't getting transferred. Much to his dismay and my relief! (He has been here for 6 months and wants to jet, but I was relieved, because I finally get to keep a companion for more than 6 weeks!)

Hmmm in other news we were able to take our Zone Leaders and some of the Sisters from Las Cruces on a hike yesterday!! :) The hike took us on a beautiful trail through the desert until randomly a waterfall appears out of nowhere! :) I loved it! On the down side though, my camera decided it wanted to be a high-diver and jumped out of my pocket and into the water.....( -_______- ) #gravity:1elderguymon:0

NOOOO! and so I now have my camera in a bowl full of rice, and we are praying that it works! :) ahhaah! But that's ok, because my SD card still works!!! YAY!!! That was a bonified miracle in and of itself!

Anywho, that 's enough about me! Thanks to all of you's who've sent me a letter, or package, or postcard! Thanks S'much! That is very appreciated!

 Paz,

Elder Jacob Guymon!

5.6-- Spring is coming

Dearest Ladies and Gentlemen,
Things are going very well down here in Cloudcroft, NM! :)  And it would appear that Spring is on it's way! :) Our temperature down in Alamogordo has been in the 60's and should be climbing to the 70's pretty soon! What?
Any-who, if you wanted to know about the weather you would just go on the Internet and look it up, but any-who, missionary-work is going quite well! This past week we had another lesson with one of our investigators, Abraham! And we were able to teach the Plan of Salvation, and his family actually invited us to stay for dinner! And for dinner they made us some authentic Mexican Taquitos which had some green chili in them! Also, at church this Sunday we were lucky enough to be able to have a lot of our less-active members and another one of our investigators come to church! Boohyah!

Also also, next week will be transfers!! What? Already? Yes! And I feel pretty confident that I will be staying, so I don't think we will have to worry about the mail! :0 We aren't sure if Elder Barlow will be staying or going, but he could stay or leave, seeing that he's been here for close to 6 months!
Oh! Last week we were able to go to Las Cruces for Zone Training, and it was pretty good! Las Cruces is about 2 hours from our house, and so we had too wake up extra early to get there! :/ but that's ok; we made it through! Also on our way there, we got pulled over :} (I wasn't driving) and then the Army was testing explosives on the White Sands, and so they had to shut down the highway for 1/2 hour, which delayed us even longer! Bahaha adventures to just do some work as a missionary!
I think that's all we got for now, but always remember 1 Corinthians 11:14!!

Other things that have happened, we got a pretty big snow storm this weekend (about a foot of snow! :) )  Woop woop! :) Other than that.... yep we havent done too much!... Wait, well we did get to have interviews with our Mission President on Friday, and I love interviews with him!  He always makes you feel good inside!  Anywho, this Friday we have Zone-Training and that is looking very excited!
